EOC Executive Director Dana Yow was recently appointed to the Education Commission of the States' (ECS) Steering Committee for the 2025-2027 term.
She will serve alongside South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster, South Carolina Senator Greg Hembree, Lexington School District Five Superintendent Akil E. Ross and South Carolina Council on Competitiveness President and CEO Susie Shannon.

As a Steering Committee member Yow will serve on ECS standing committees and will help to facilitate communication between ECS and state education leaders.
Education Commission of the States is a nonpartisan organization serving as a partner to state policymakers and education leaders by providing personalized support, unbiased information and opportunities for collaboration. ECS serves policymakers in all 50 states.
